Eva Walkner Wins The Freeride World Tour
It looks like team rider Eva Walkner's dreams finally come true this weekend when she secured her place as World Champion after just four of the five stops on this years Freeride World Tour.
It has been an uphill struggle for Eva, who missed out on the last two tours after a serious knee injury. But after two years of hard work and determination she finally made it back for the 2015 tour and has absolutely dominated proceedings from the very start, taking home the win at the first stop of the season in Chamonix and her first time back on the tour.

More time on the podium
Just a few days after the second event it was decided that the Fieberbrunn stage that had been cancelled earlier in the year due to poor conditions was to be re-held in Andorra, and after a strong start to the season Eva was certainly one of the favourites going into the event.

After 3 podiums at the first three events of the season, Eva was well out in the lead coming into last weeks event in Haines Alaska. Another podium position would be enough to earn her the overall tour title and the chance to be called world champion. After an anxious week of waiting for the weather to clear the competition finally took place on Saturday and Eva was able to write herself in to the record books.
